Network marketing has been around for a very long time under various names, but the name i think describes it best of all is Relationship Marketing. In essence, in order to create a successful home network marketing business you need to build quality relationships with prospects in order to sponsor them, and in order to train them to repeat the same process to build their own business.
There are so many advantages in business from having a great relationship over just having a good one, so if you work on anything at all, work on building those awesome relationships first and foremost – pretty much everything else necessary to be successful will follow automatically.
With that in mind here are some network marketing tips learned from my years of marketing and building a business.
Network Marketing Tips For Your Online Home Business
- Be honest and truthful – multilevel marketing isn’t right for everyone, don’t convince people to get involved in something you know isn’t a good fit for them just for the sake of a sign up commission.
- Be Social – treat your prospects like your friends, including new and long term prospects alike. People are more inclined to do business with people they admire or like – so give them a reason to admire and like you.
- Remember network marketing is about BOTH networking and marketing. You can have as many friends and acquaintances as you like, but if you aren’t marketing to them, chances are you won’t make a dime. Likewise, if you don’t have anyone to market to, you aren’t likely to make any sales either. You need to be social – work on your networking skills always – and be likable, be attractive – your end goal is to recruit as many quality people as possible and to help them achieve more than you have.
- Be enthusiastic about the product & the business opportunity. People won’t want to do business with you or be on your team if you have no drive and enthusiasm for what you are doing.
- Build Subscriber and email lists – Build a list of prospects, people who may someday become customers. Build a list of retail customers of your product or service. Build a list of people you have directly sponsored and are working with to promote your business opportunity. Having a list of these segments of your business allows you to communicate directly, and appropriately, with each group based on your relationship with them. It lets you keep prospects in a warm state, allows you to keep your team up-to-date with what you are doing and how well it’s working. While your prospects might not be interested in your primary opportunity, they may still be interest in some of the tools and services you use and find effective.
- Take action, Massive action, take it daily, and never stop, not ever. Every step you take should be part of your business plan and take you one step close to your goals

- Treat your mlm business like a real business – be enthusiastic, be passionate, be excited, and put in the hours and the effort it takes to be a success.
- Be professional – network marketing success depends a lot on your reputation. Believe in what you are doing, and be proud of it. Be professional in everything you do, with your prospects, your customers, your team. You never know who is listening or reading something you’ve written, and you want to leave the best impression every time.
- Invest in, or build, a network marketing system. While you can have success by doing random things to build and promote your business, the only true way to scale up the rewards is to follow a system. Having a system gives you something to hand down to your team so they can build a successful business with you without them taking up all of your time to learn new stuff.
- Surround yourself with positive people. You will find a lot of people have a negative view of anyone who makes an effort to better their lives – i’m sure you know some of those people already? Do you know people who tell you you can’t do things, or that things are a waste of time? People who have no ambition in life, and only ever see the negative side to everything? Negative people see the downside to everything and like to tell you about it – they can bring you down to their level faster than you can raise them to yours, so limit your exposure to negative people.
- Grow Personally everyday: Invest in yourself. The most successful people in the world all have one thing in common – they all strive for personal growth and self-development. They take time for themselves. They work on their physical health, and they invest in knowledge and training to learn new skills and keep their business sharp. Take 15 minutes every day to read. Buy audios to listen to while you are driving places.

- Leverage the work your upline has already done. Talk to your team, your upline and find out what they do that works for them. If it works for one person it can work for you too, but don’t get hung up on this being the only way that works, many people experience different results doing the same thing, and the same results doing different things.
- You don’t need to reinvent the wheel to be successful. Success is about having a goal, a plan to reach that goal, and taking daily consistent action until you get there. If you try something and it doesn’t work, try something else. Keep trying until something does work.
- Take calculated risks, experiment.
- Join a program that truly offers something of value for the money people are going to be paying for it. If you see no value in the product, others won’t either.
- Stay Motivated - sometimes we don’t see success as quickly as we want and we feel depressed or demotivated. businesses don’t evolve overnight, so make sure that you know you are in for the long haul, that you are building something solid and sustainable for the future, and it might take a little while to gather momentum. Work constantly to maintain motivation.
